ABOUT
Hi! My name is Ben, and I'm an engineer with a passion for developing products that help people. It's this passion that led me to pursue my undergraduate degree in biomechanical engineering. The promise of utilizing mechanical engineering principles to address human-centric problems captured my interest. Throughout my experiences I gained an appreciation for the many ways that I could utilize my engineering and product development skills to improve the lives of others and now, I am pursuing opportunities that allow me to design and develop products that have a significant impact.

EXPERIENCE
NEW JERSEY TRANSIT
Working with the Risk Assessment team for the Hurricane Sandy Resilience Program, I developed Excel macros to increase the functionality of the programs risk register. In addition, I created a database outlining the budget and important identifying information for every project within the program.
DEPUY SYNTHES
a Johnson & Johnson Company
I worked in the Codman Neuroscience division, performing electrical safety testing on the ISOCOOL® Bipolar Forceps. I also produced a cost analysis for the 150+ sterilization cases and trays and created an outline with visualizations of supplier issues and their impacts.
GE HEALTHCARE
As a part of the Upstream Bioprocessing R&D team, I aided in the integration process of the new line of Fortem film into all of the consumable product lines. This included executing a variety of verification tests, fabricating engineering drawings per ASME standards for injection molded parts, and validating the compliance of every product's components with USP and ISO standards. I also worked on a new valve design to solve the "dead-leg" issue in the bioreactors' drain lines which is currently under evaluation for a patent.
3DEGREES
With 3Degrees I worked on helping bring to market a new quality management software for production level additive manufacturing, TRACE. This process involved attending multiple AM trade shows, where I worked at our booth and pitched to potential clients from a multitude of different industries.
SharkNinja
As a product developer and mechanical deign engineer at SharkNinja I led and supported the ideation, development, and launches of multiple house hold appliances across three continents. I also conducted extensive market research to identify consumer needs and market gaps, and analyze the competitive landscape, and rapidly designed and tested prototypes for innovative consumer products.
